01. Am I able to receive eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are not recommended for anyone who:

  • Has highly watery eyes
  • Has extreme eye sensitivity
  • Has intense allergies
  • Very curly/thin and fragile/no lashes at all.
  • Rubs eyes frequently

Other than that, anyone can get eyelash extensions!

02. How long will it take to get them done?

Typically, a full set of lashes will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, dependent on the style chosen (e.g, fullness of the set). Infills however, which should be added approx. every 2-3 weeks, will usually take no more than an hour.

03. So, how do they actually stay on?

Eyelash extensions remain in place with a completely safe, medical grade and formaldehyde-free adhesive. Our technicians will correctly apply them onto your true lash, approx. 0.1mm away from the root to avoid reaction or irritation on the actual skin.

04. Why do I need to get an infill?

Your natural lashes have a cycle that lasts about 50-60 days before your natural lashes will fall out and new ones begin growing. Since the false lash is applied to your true lash, the false lash will fall out as well. Other things contributing to this is steam exposure and excessive touching of the eyes. Each individual will have varying amounts of eyelashes falling out, and thus will need differing amounts reapplied during an infill. For example, after two weeks, you may have 45% of your lashes fallen out normally, but if not looked after properly, this may increase to 80%. If after 2-3 weeks too many of your lashes have fallen out, you may require a full set to be applied again.

05. I know my makeup runs when I get it wet, am I allowed to get these wet?

Absolutely! Although, we do recommend that you wait about 4-6 hours after receiving them before wetting them, this is to ensure the adhesive is sufficiently secure. After that, you are free to have a shower. Stay away from things such as swimming pools or saunas, as excessive exposure to these may weaken the adhesive bond – this is the same for oil-based makeup removers/cleansers. If you do have sensitivities, we recommend washing your face after the first 4 hours of application.

06. How do I take care of them to make sure they last as long as possible?

  • Try and avoid any places with water or steam for 24 hours afterwards, but you can shower after 4-6 hours.
  • Avoid any products (cleansers, makeup removers, moisturisers) that are oil based.
  • If you feel the need to use mascara, do not use a waterproof one.
  • Don’t use eyelash curlers, eyelash tint or eyelash perms on these lashes.
  • If you do decide you would like them removed, you MUST contact us as pulling them off yourself will pull out the natural lash as well.
  • Don’t rub your eyes, gently pat dry them clean.
  • Ensure lashes don’t get caught on anything: clothes, towels etc.
  • Ensure you have an infill booked within 2-3 weeks to keep those stunning lashes alive.

07. How should I prepare to get eyelash extensions?

Ideally, please have no makeup on; this clean base allows the glue to adhere properly. Additionally, contact lenses are best removed before this process to avoid potential drying.

08. There are so many styles, how can I choose?

See our prices and styles page. Also, ur lovely technicians are happy to discuss what you are looking to achieve with eyelash extensions, and help you decide which style will work best with your natural lashes with their wealth of knowledge.

09. How long are my gorgeous new lashes going to last?

You will be able to rock this new set for about 4-5 weeks, but if you want that refreshing feeling to last even longer, we strongly recommend getting infills after about 2-3 weeks afterwards to replace any of those false lashes that may have fallen out! False lashes falling out depends on two things, your natural lash cycle, and how well you take care of them with the aftercare instructions provided!

10. Am I allowed to wear mascara?

It isn’t recommended to wear mascara over the top of the extensions as the oil-base in most mascaras can interfere with the adhesive, meaning eyelashes will fall off easier. Some mascaras, especially waterproof ones, are designed to stay on, making it really difficult to rub off, which may mean some eyelashes are pulled out or clump together. But, with these beautiful lashes, you won’t feel the need to wear mascara anyway!

11. If I’m avoiding rubbing them, how do I dry them?

Using a clean cloth or towel, close your eyes and gently apply pressure to the tops of your lashes. You may choose to use a fan to help dry them more afterwards. Once dry, ensure you brush them gently with a spoolie or clean mascara wand.
